Penis Enhancement Questions and Answers

Q. Is it possible for a man’s own perception of his penile size – even if normal – to interfere with his interactions with sexual partners and professional colleagues?
A. Yes.

Q. Can a male’s self-esteem and self-worth be altered by his perceived genitalia “adequacy?”
A. Yes.

Q. Can penis enlargement surgery increase self-esteem and improved quality of life?
A. In the sense that the man perceives is penile size to smaller than he wishes – even if his size is normal – the surgical results of penile lengthening or widening often improve his sexual machismo image and have a positive affect on his interactions with not only sexual partners, but with professional associates as well.

Q. How much additional penile length can be expected?
A. As results differ from patient to patient, this is a hard question to answer. However, a one to two inches gain is achieved on average with penis lengthening surgery. Maximum results are achieved with strict compliance to using a penile stretching device following surgery.

Q. How much width gain can be expected?
A. Widening by fat transfer or Allograft Dermal Matrix Graft (Alloderm®) yields approximately 30% width – or circumferential – gain.

Q. How long will I have to abstain from sex after male enlargement surgery?
A. We advise patients to wait for approximately four weeks before engaging in penetrative sex.

Q. Are the results of penile lengthening procedures permanent?
A. Yes. And when combined with a penile stretching device, you might experience added length gain over time.

Q. Are the results of penile widening procedures permanent?
A. Widening via fat transfer technique or Allograft Dermal Matrix Graft (Alloderm®) have found to be permanent.

Q. How do you rate the success of male enhancement surgery?
A. We have a high patient satisfaction rate from penile enlargement procedures using my techniques for penile lengthening and penile widening – or pericavernosal – using Allograft Dermal Matrix Graft aka Alloderm®. When informed of reasonable expectations, most men are pleased with their results.

Q. Can improvements be made without penis enhancement surgery?
A. Unproven, non-surgical techniques of penis enlargement using weights and stretching devices like a vacuum pump or “penis pump” exist, but are not recommended by the medical community as there is a lack of studies to attest to their safety and effectiveness. Sometimes, when an overweight patient has an abnormally large amount of fat in their pubis region and then loses a significant amount of weight, they can appear to gain penile length. No non-surgical techniques for permanent penile widening exist.

Q. What kind of results can I expect from glanular enhancement surgery?
A. An average increase of between 15 percent and 20 percent in the flare of the proximal 1/3 of your glans (head of penis) is common although, a greater than 30 percent increase is possible.

Q. How expensive is treatment?
A. Each case is different. We will share your total financial obligation with you during a free, non-committal consultation.

Q. How long do I have to refrain from sexual activity with a penis enlargement surgery?
A. We recommend patients refrain from sexual activity for 2-4 weeks following ligament release and for 4 weeks after AlloDerm® placement. If a fat transfer procedure is used only, then men may resume sexual activity in one week.

Q. When will I see the results of my male enhancement surgery?
A. Those patients choosing to have fat transfer or AlloDerm® placement for penile enhancement will see immediate improvement in the girth and size of the penis. The ligament release procedure to increase length may take up to 6 months for a visual increase in length. It is recommended that a stretching device be used to maximize the fullest potential for the increase in penile length.

Q. Will these procedures affect my erection?
A. The ligament release, fat transfer or AlloDerm® placement procedure will not affect the angle of erection or the frequency of erections. Erections may be discomforting in the immediate weeks following the surgery. However, this will eventually disappear and will be quite normal within several months after surgery.

Q. How many times do I have to return for the fat grafting to increase the girth of my penis?
A. Although the first initial injection is often sufficient to obtain the initial increase in the girth and width of the penis, many men choose to return for additional fat grafting to enhance the length and girth even more. If the fat is available in cold storage, the patients are welcome to an additional procedure to enhance the length and girth.
