Silicone Sleeve Implant NYC, Dr. Elliot Heller

Silicone sleeve penile augmentation is a permanent surgical solution for increasing penile width and length. The procedure was designed specifically for aesthetic penile enhancement, and in the hands of an experienced surgeon it produces natural-looking results with a recovery most men describe as manageable.

Silicone sleeve implant is not an erectile dysfunction implant. It is an aesthetic enhancement performed to increase visible size, add a sense of fullness and weight, and improve patient confidence. Clinical studies have shown measurable gains in both circumference and length, and many patients report heightened sexual sensation during intercourse for themselves and their partners.

How the Silicone Sleeve Implant Works

The silicone sleeve is a flexible, medical-grade implant inserted beneath the skin of the penile shaft. It is sculpted and sized to match each patient’s anatomy, not fitted from a stock template. Dr. Heller works with the patient in consultation to decide on dimensions that produce a natural-looking result in proportion to the rest of the body.

Because the implant sits under the skin of the shaft, it adds both girth and, in many cases, visible length. Expected results in a single procedure are significant: for some patients, the average length gain from surgical enhancement overall is approximately 1.5 to 2 inches, with girth increases of 1 to 2 inches. Final gains depend on the patient’s starting anatomy and the implant sizing selected during consultation.

The Silicone Sleeve Procedure

The implant is placed through a small incision localized at the base of the penis. A space is created beneath the skin to accommodate the full length and width of the sleeve. The implant encircles the shaft. Sutures close the incision. The procedure is performed under anesthesia in a private surgical setting.

Only specifically trained and authorized surgeons perform silicone sleeve procedures. This is not a treatment that should be sought from a generalist.

Is the Silicone Sleeve the Right Move for You?

Five questions patients ask Dr. Heller most often before they decide.
Will the result look natural?
Yes. The implant is custom-sized to each patient’s anatomy, not fitted from a stock template. Dr. Heller reviews target dimensions during consultation so the result is in proportion to the rest of the body.
What is the trade-off versus fillers or fat transfer?
Dermal fillers add girth with no downtime but cannot match the dimensional gains of a surgical implant. Fat transfer is permanent in surviving cells but depends on donor fat. The silicone sleeve adds both length and girth in one permanent step.
How long until I can resume sexual activity?
Most patients resume sexual activity 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure, after the surgical site has fully healed. Normal daily activities return at 48 hours; vigorous exercise resumes after about 10 days.
Is the silicone sleeve for erectile function or just size?
Just size. The silicone sleeve is aesthetic. Patients whose primary concern is erectile function rather than dimensions should discuss PRP therapy (the P-Shot) with Dr. Heller as a different path.
Who is not a good candidate for this procedure?
Patients with unrealistic expectations, those primarily seeking treatment for erectile dysfunction (not size), and those who are not comfortable with a permanent implant. The procedure is aesthetic. Patients should have realistic expectations and be ready to accept a permanent change.

Benefits of the Silicone Sleeve Implant

penis implant benefits

This approach offers a set of advantages that few other enhancement procedures can match:

  • Permanent increase in penile dimensions, both length and girth
  • Enhanced sexual sensitivity reported by many patients
  • Natural look and feel with the implant beneath the skin
  • Significant improvement in self-confidence and self-image
  • Relatively quick recovery compared with other surgical options
  • Customized sizing rather than a one-size-fits-all implant

Recovery After the Silicone Sleeve Procedure

Recovery after silicone sleeve surgery is among the most manageable in surgical penile enhancement. Dr. Heller’s patients typically experience mild to moderate discomfort for several days, which is well controlled with standard pain management.

Most patients return to normal daily activities within 48 hours. Vigorous exercise and heavy physical activity should be avoided for approximately 10 days. Sexual activity can be resumed 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure, allowing full healing of the surgical site.

Swelling and bruising typically subside within the first one to two weeks. Small scars from the base-of-penis incision fade significantly over time and are discreetly located.

Silicone Sleeve Compared to Other Options

For patients weighing silicone sleeve implants against non-surgical options, the trade-offs are straightforward:

  • Non-surgical dermal fillers offer girth enhancement with no downtime, but do not produce the same dimensional gains as a surgical implant.
  • Fat transfer uses the patient’s own tissue for permanent volume but depends on fat survival and availability of donor tissue.
  • Ligament release increases visible length by releasing the suspensory ligament but does not add girth.

Many patients combine two approaches. Dr. Heller will review the trade-offs with you honestly during consultation and recommend what actually fits your goals.

Who is a Good Candidate for the Silicone Sleeve Procedure?

Silicone sleeve surgery is appropriate for adult men in reasonable general health who want a permanent increase in both length and girth and are willing to accept a short recovery period in exchange for surgical-grade results. Candidates should have realistic expectations, understand the procedure is aesthetic rather than functional, and be comfortable with a permanent implant.

Patients whose primary concern is erectile dysfunction rather than size should discuss PRP therapy (the P-Shot) with Dr. Heller as a different path.
